Pitstop Studios is in the early stages of developing a targeted program that provides professional development opportunities to artist, undertaking consultation with both local and national artists and arts workers, at all stages of their career.
Our first step is to secure affordable professional studio spaces that are suitable for most practices. Access to tools, equipment, 3 phase power means that artists who’s practice often disqualifies them for studio spaces or deepening their artistic exploration are provided equitable opportunities.
By taking the time to identify what the missing pieces of our current arts ecosystem is, we plan to identify where early career artists need more support and opportunities, and what that support looks and feels like.
Taking place between 2025 to 2026, the findings will identify specific actions and performance measures to effect tangible change for emerging and early-career artists to have sustainable arts careers in Kamberri in the next five years.
